WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO THE AC BY AC PROPOSAL?
J’ai vécu en Europe, notamment au Royaume-Uni, pendant long- temps, mais je suis avant tout africain. Quand on m’a présenté les créations d’AC by AC, j’ai d’abord eu du mal à y croire. Je n’avais jamais vu de marque africaine avec une direction artistique et une créativité aussi élevées. J’ai senti que nous n’aurions aucune difficulté pour conjuguer nos deux visions. C’est l’excitation de porter visuellement AC by AC vers les sommets qui m’a attiré.
I lived in Europe, especially in the UK, for a long time, but before anything I am African. When I was introduced to the AC by AC designs, I couldn’t believe it at first. I had never seen an African brand with such high artistic direction and creativity. I felt that we would have no difficulty in combining our two visions. It was the excitement of visually taking AC by AC to the top that attracted me.

L’Afrique est le continent de la couleur. Du Maroc à l’Afrique du Sud, la palette est incroyablement riche. J’avais envie de célébrer à quel point le continent brille de mille feux. J’aime porter une belle chemise rouge ou un sarong jaune. C’est une sensation instinctive. A travers la couleur, je mets en valeur les origines africaines des créations d’AC by AC.
Africa is the continent of color. From Morocco to South Africa, the palette is incredibly rich. I wanted to celebrate how brightly the continent shines. I love wearing a beautiful red shirt or a yellow sarong. It’s an instinctive feeling. Through color, I highlight the African origins of AC by AC’s designs.

Vous devez aimer les personnes avec lesquelles vous travaillez car ce sont elles qui vont incarner vos sentiments. Je travaille avec une petite équipe afin de créer une intimité. Quand vous avez la proximité et l’énergie alors l’inspiration s’enflamme. On atteint une forme d’harmonie. Alors, tout brille d’un seul coup.

You have to like the people you work with because they are the ones who will embody your feelings. I work with a small team to create intimacy. When you have the closeness and the energy then the inspiration ignites. You reach a form of harmony. Then everything shines at once.
